12/01/2012	THURSDAY PRACTICE - SINCLAIR'S FIELD, OTLEY CHEVIN Today started of with a slight breeze but very sunny with a beautiful view over Otley. Five members attended today's session where we start the foundations for retaining wall which is to be used for exam purposes at level 3 (advanced). If you want to get some practice at building a retaining wall to a high standard why not come along and hone up your skills. Also to keep you going there is a visit to the White House Cafe for refreshments. Thursday practice wouldn't be the same without some sort of facility like this. No pictures were taken today. 14/01/2012	Practice day - Brimham Rocks, Summerbridge Today was a very crisp and sunny day. It was warm enough to take our break and lunch outside and enjoy the view across the valley. Ten members attend today's session and it was nice to see some new faces who had come along to enjoy and enhance their skills. About two metres of wall next to the stile was dismantled and three members worked at replacing the footings and the next level of this section. Some large stones were used which has made the footings very solid. The remainder of the team worked on about seven metres of the top of the wall replacing the copes to make it more level and satisfying to the eye. Well done to all those who attended who I believe had an excellent day walling and I hope they also enhanced their skill base. Also thanks to Wendy and Richard for their expert input and advice.
